What I want to see in 2.1

With 2.1 coming soon for the iPhone and iPod Touch I have a few things that I want to see. First copy and paste it’s simple. Since getting the iPhone I’ve needed copy and paste a few times and have wanted it since I got my iPod touch. Second is notes syncing. This is even more simple as notes in Mail.app and on the iPhone look the same and could work very well. MobileMe already has the know how to sync between macs so why not the iPhone. Well those are the two things that I think are most crucial along with the security update that is needed. Guess what? I’m writing this on my iPhone and I still love it

Moving House

Today is my last day in my house. This means I will not be online for a bit as we are switching broadband and keeping our phone number, this means roughly 10-15 days without proper Internet, don’t worry though, I have NetShare on my iPhone so I can do a few basic things like AIM and email. Hey guys, I’m really getting into blogging, so here are 5 reasons to buy MobileMe if you have an iPhone and a PC/Mac.

20GB of storage. Yes you read that correct, 20GB of storage to keep all of your important documents, music and videos up in the cloud. You can upload through the finder on a Mac or explorer in Windows and you can even upload through a web client. Neato!
Syncing. How often have you added some information to someone in your address book and not synced it with your iPhone only to realise you need it? MobileMe does it for you, over the air. Just update your contact on your computer and its pushed up to the “cloud” down to your iPhone.
Push. This moves on from syncing but just like Microsoft Exchange you can have your Email, Contacts and Calendars along with a lot more pushed anywhere you are logged into MobileMe. Get an email? It’s sent to your iPhone the second its on the sever. Another awesome feature.
Awesome web applications. Apple also improved the web interface from .Mac and have made some amazing applications, they range from Email to Gallery’s to folder viewing but they all look amazing and work as well as desktop applications. Really well done on this part Apple.
Uploading on the go. Take a photo on your iPhone? You can send it to your MobileMe Gallery and its put straight up on the web for your friends and family to view. Full resolution and fabulous. Best feature of MobileMe for the photo lover.

That’s it! MobileMe is available for a 60 day free trial online and you can buy a year’s subscription for £59. I would recommend buying it online as once the 60 days are up you go into the full one, That means two whole months free compared to buying it at the store.

Version 1.2

Hey everyone. This post is a quick note to tell you all about the new version of my site, version 1.2. Not as much changed but I’m very happy with it. First off, new logo. It’s finally turned into the scribble that I wanted at the site launch and I’m so happy I found the font. The pages are meant to be doodles but I’m still working on that. Next on the home page is a new twitter box, the old one was ugly and it needed changing. New about page is up, this has some more information and has been written better as I was not happy with the last one. Slight change to the portfolio involving colours and categories. Nothing has changed back end, only CSS edits and a few text changes. The site is still the same and this is the longest I’ve kept one design, which I’m happy about. Anyway I hope you like the improvements and I will be looking for feedback.

Hey guys, its been a while, again. Sorry for the long waits between updates, now that its summer I thought I would have more time, I was wrong. Most nights I’m on very important skype calls and talking to Angelique. I really would like to get the site updated some time soon and I’m looking for some inspiration for version 1.2, better code, more all round design and some extra features. Hey all, hope you are doing fine, I happen to have my iPhone in my hand and I have to say, best thing I’ve bought for a while. The back is suburb and much better than the scratch magnet that was my touch. The best thing about the phone though is not Hardware, but software. iPhone 3G and software 2.0 come with some amazing upgrades that really make the phone what it should be. Sadly, no basic Copy/Paste, video recording or even linking it to your laptop via bluetooth. Anyway, just a quick notice to say I am still alive and plan to integrate my sites better to each other and do some slight redesign over summer. Thanks to all who are reading still, its hard keeping a site going.
